Neo-Background
NeoEnglish is a special kind of English which is based on Neo-method. Neo-method is a new way of learning English. This emphasises total immersion in English through classroom techniques, Mobile English Support and also focal learning of English Language.

NeoEnglish System was first provided by Sir Naeem to different private schools, institutions and various individuals as ESL or EFL learners catering for their linguistic needs in business, commerce and every day communication.

NEOEnglish System is the result of Sir. Naeem’s efforts in language research and methodology. This is the only program of study introduced in Pakistan which can help develop communicative skills in our students. The basic motive behind inventing was to humanize not only language learning but also learners.

NEO was first founded as a language enterprise and it promoted NEOEnglish System only as distant service. But now NEOEnglish System is being dispensed in regular classes at different places.

Neo-Philosophy

Language is not what it is generally made out to be by some non-professionals. There are certain things to keep in mind when learning English. First, English is not a time-limited venture. You cannot learn English overnight and neither can you improve in days. English requires constant learning process on part of the individual. Second, English requires self-support. You can never learn English without financially supporting yourself.. You support to acquire English. You need to buy books, magazines, English movies and other language materials. You acquire by spending. Thirdly, what you require is motivation. Unless you have motivation, you cannot learn this language. You need to develop motivation, work hard, invest both time and money to learn English.

Language learning at the personal level: A learner is the core of English Language Program. We always give prime and focused attention to the learner. His responsibilities in learning a language are umpteen. The learner must develop the aforementioned qualities. He should not focus on one thing at a time. I meant to say that it is not enough to read newspapers every day or watch movies twice a week or simply converse with a partner for some time. You must give proper time to each and every activity. You should read the newspaper, study English language, grammar and vocabulary books while you should discuss day-to-day matters in English with your friends. In performing all this routine, you must keep in touch with a language consultant to maintain your accuracy in language.

Language learning at the class level: We believe that language can be best fostered in a positive, dynamic and challenging environment of the class. Our focus is centered on the learner. Our syllabus is learner supportive. We achieve results by Communicative Language Teaching with most traditional and modern approaches developed by our consultants. The first step in the classroom towards language acquisition is input which is managed by various handouts, activities and lectures selected from different sources and media. the second step is interaction based on the items learnt. Interaction provides ample opportunities to to the learner to practise their language in an exciting environment. The third step is revision which is achieved through different language games and class tests.

Collaborative Language Learning: Language cannot be learnt in isolation. For language to be learnt, a social, collaborative and interactive relationship is necessary. This relationship starts from the student-teacher relationship which bases collaborative learning and further develops into a complete understanding of the each other.

Neo-Methodology

NEO doesn’t believe in haphazard and random learning. Therefore, it has introduced the acquisition of the English Language in its entirety in three levels. These levels highly cater for the academic and professional needs of Pakistani students. The students are passed through a Computerized Placement Test (CPT) to measure their knowledge of English and then are placed in the level suited to their learning requirement. The students are trained according to the syllabus (Reading, writing, speaking, listening, Grammar, Vocabulary, Phonology etc.) Specifically designed for each

level keeping in view of the National and International Examinations and practical requirements of the students.

NEO  believes that Learner’s Autonomy and Performance are the key point in learning English Language. Therefore, greater emphasis is laid on Ear Training and Learner’s communicative role in the class. There are two parts of methodology employed at NEO. In The Resource Center, students are given full conducive atmosphere in which they are autonomous in learning by using computer and software to input material.

NEO  has language software, CD’s and listening aids to help students learn individually and collaboratively. In the class, students are engaged in exciting classroom lessons designed to exploit their past and present knowledge of English. Special hand-outs and worksheets are regularly dispensed which cater to individual requirements of the students. Movie Sessions are weekly conducted in the Resource Center to stimulate students’ interest in the subject and follow-up discussions and activities based on the movie session is an integral part of the learner’s course.

NEO doesn’t rely on one methodology. Its procedure may range from Functional, Lexical, and Communicative to most Traditional approaches. This concept makes up the whole Neo-methodology.

Our syllabus has been adapted from Cambridge University and other internationally recognized universities world over with local needs kept in mind. Thus we dispense maximum international quality in Pakistani context.
